MANAGEMENT

 

The Management Committee considers issues for the National Council relating to the general administration and management of field offices. This includes human resources, facility management, financial management and upgrades issues.

The Management Structure committee conducts studies and advises the Executive Committee on ways to improve the current management structure in the field.

MEMBERSHIP

 

The Membership Committee consists of a member (usually the Regional Treasurer) from each Region.  The Committee monitors membership rates and discusses ways to increase membership.  The Committee also maintains the Membership page on the NCSSMA website.

COMMUNICATIONS

 

The Communications Committee works to improve communication with members, the greater SSA community and outside interests through our newsletter, Frontline and our website, NCSSMA.org. This committee will act as a support and advisory board for Frontline. In this capacity it will write and solicit articles, suggest format or style changes and insure that a professional looking newsletter is published on a periodic basis. It will also monitor, maintain and update the NCSSMA.org website through the Webmaster and act as an advisory board to suggest improvements or policies relevant to the website.

GRASSROOTS

 

Monitors national legislative developments, disseminates information, provides feedback, and keeps the lines of communication open about legislative issues between members and association leadership.

AUTOMATION

 

The Automation Committee will serve as the focal point to take concerns and issues regarding automation to the appropriate CO position. It will gather ideas for improvement in automation support and develop them for submission to the appropriate position or facility; respond to requests from Central office components regarding automation issues and disburse information (of which they become aware) regarding automation advances to end users. The committee will try to ensure National decision makers are aware of regionally and locally developed programs that might be of national use.

DISABILITY

 

Monitors activity surrounding the redesign of the disability program and prepares comments for National Council on the various aspects of redesign and their impact on the delivery of community based service to the disabled population of the country.

LABOR MANAGEMENT RELATIONS

 

Aids the National Council by providing a coordinated national assessment and approach to LMR issues based on input from the perspective of each individual region.

STAFFING AND TRAINING

 

The Staffing and Training Committee focuses on staffing and training issues. This will include work measurement systems such as SUMS that may impact how we determine appropriate levels of staffing. This committee will develop, implement and collate results of any periodic Management Surveys NCSSMA wishes to conduct.

SERVICE DELIVERY

 

The Service Delivery committee represents management as we serve the public in field offices and TSCs and via the Internet.  The Service Delivery committee's purpose is to review service delivery proposals and plans and submit comments and recommendations, make input about optimization of processes and resources toward the uncompromising pursuit of public service and to act as an information conduit on service delivery issues to and from the membership.

FINANCE COMMITTEE
