2008 NCSSMA Annual Meeting at West Point, New York

The New York Region Management Society is pleased to invite you to the 2008 NCSSMA Annual Meeting at West Point, New York. Our meeting slogan is Raising the Torch of Leadership!”   Click here or click on the '08 West Point Meeting button at the top of the this homepage for all the particulars of the meeting, as well as registration and lodging information.  Please use links on these pages to download Word documents with the information in a printable format.

Following is a brief summary of the information concerning this meeting, with hyperlinks included:

·        REGISTRATION - The meeting and event registration deadline is 8/15/08.  If you have any questions, please call Evie Davis at 845-623-1376, or Dominick Pratico at 914-739-5754.

·        HOTEL INFORMATION – Our meeting will be held at the beautiful and historic The Thayer Hotel at West Point. The guest room rate of $140 per night ($160 double) is available from October 18-25. Hotel reservations must be made by 8/15/08, but we strongly recommend making them now!

·        TRANSPORTATION – Detailed information about airport options and transportation is provided. A West Point Shuttle Schedule is also included. Transportation questions should be directed to Robin Bello at 914-739-8901, or Val Fisher at 201-689-0637.

·        EVENTS - We have arranged some exciting and reasonably priced tours and events that will make your New York experience a truly memorable one! Our Sunday in the City tour includes a bus ride to Battery Park in Manhattan, a ferry ride and tour of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, and a visit to Times Square. I strongly encourage you to attend this event for a taste of New York City. On Monday morning, the West Point Tour highlights many historic points at the USMA. We then offer some spectacular views during fall foliage season with a Hudson River Cruise & Luau Lunch. The Monday evening Host Reception will have a distinct New York flavor and a few surprises! Tuesday begins with the Welcome Breakfast, featuring a presentation by the NY Regional Commissioner and some West Point contributions. A unique dining experience on the beautiful Newburgh waterfront is offered with our Torches on Tuesday event.  On Wednesday evening, the President's Banquet promises to be special with an elegant dinner in The Thayer Hotel’s Lawn Terrace and a murder mystery show by the Killing Kompany. A perfect way to wrap things up Thursday afternoon is the Brotherhood Winery and Orange County Chopper Tour!

·        AREA INFORMATION – This includes West Point and Hudson Valley Area Attractions, information about Dining Options in the West Point/Highland Falls Area, and for the brave, New York City Side Trip Options.
